Road motorcycles and scooters in the Honda motorcycle shop, sorted by category
In the Honda motorcycle shop, you will find all of Honda’s road models sorted by category, from the city scooter to the Gold Wing. Advice, purchase and test rides are handled by Honda Motorrad Zürich, an official Honda Dream Dealer that keeps every Honda model in stock. Under each category, cards present the individual models.

Naked bike, supersport, adventure and touring at a glance
The Honda motorcycle shop opens with the naked bike, which manages without full fairing. At the heart of this category is the Hornet family with the CB1000 Hornet, CB750 Hornet and CB500 Hornet; alongside them are the CB650R, CB1000F, CB1000GT and, as the smallest model, the CB125R.
Riders with a sporty style end up in the supersport motorcycle range: CBR500R, CBR650R, CBR600RR and, at the top, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
An adventure motorcycle combines travelling and gravel. This category includes both versions of the Africa Twin, the CRF1100L and the Adventure Sports, plus the NX500 and Transalp XL750, the light CRF300L and CRF300 Rally, as well as the NC750X and X-ADV. As a touring motorcycle for long stages with luggage, there are the NT1100 and Gold Wing GL1800, complemented by the CB1000GT and the Adventure Sports version of the Africa Twin.
Retro, 125cc, scooters and electric: Honda for city riding and style
Retro and custom covers the cruisers Rebel CMX500 and Rebel CMX1100, the CL500, GB350S and CB1000F, plus small classics such as the Super Cub C125, Monkey Z125 or Dax ST125.
A 125cc motorcycle is the way in with category A1, for example the CB125R, CB125F or Grom MSX125; scooters such as the PCX125, SH125i, SH Mode 125 and Forza 125 belong here too.
In the Honda scooter range, the spread runs from the light Vision 110 via the SH150i, SH350i and ADV350 to the larger Forza models and the X-ADV. If you want to ride electric, there is the WN7 electric motorcycle; among the electric scooters, you can choose between the EM1 e: and the CUV e:.
A1, A restricted or A: what your driving licence allows
Category A1 allows models up to 125 cc with limited power from the age of 16. From 18, A restricted follows (A2 in the EU). An A2 motorcycle such as the CBR500R, NX500, Rebel CMX500 or CB500 Hornet stays within the limit as standard, while the CB650R, Transalp XL750, CB750 Hornet, X-ADV and NC750X are available as reduced-power versions for this category.
Category A without a power limit requires you to have held A restricted for two years and to pass a further test. You need it for the Gold Wing, Africa Twin, NT1100, CB1000 Hornet and the Fireblade, among others. Which version fits your licence is something to clarify with Honda Motorrad Zürich before you buy.
Automatic motorcycle: DCT or E-Clutch?
An automatic motorcycle from Honda relieves you of operating the clutch. With DCT, Honda’s dual clutch system, the gearbox also shifts on its own; this system is offered on the Africa Twin, NT1100, Gold Wing, NC750X, Rebel CMX1100 and X-ADV, among others.
The E-Clutch still lets you change gear yourself, but pulling away and shifting work without a clutch lever. It is available for the Transalp XL750, NX500, CB500 Hornet, CB650R, CB750 Hornet, CBR500R, CBR650R and Rebel CMX500. A test ride is the clearest way to feel how the two systems differ.
Showroom instead of data sheet: test ride, used motorcycle, leasing and trade-in
Figures on paper do not reveal how a motorcycle holds a bend or whether you can comfortably put a foot down when stopping. Honda Motorrad Zürich has more than 150 vehicles in stock, and in the showroom you compare them directly on the bike. A test ride on a demo motorcycle comes with a contribution towards costs; should you purchase within six months, the dealer offsets it completely.
Besides new vehicles, Honda Motorrad Zürich sells demonstrators and used motorcycles, which are checked in the dealer’s own workshop before sale. Motorcycle leasing and financing are provided through Honda Financial Services, for used motorcycles as well. With a trade-in, the dealer accepts motorcycles of all brands in part exchange and takes care of deregistration and paperwork.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see the Honda road models in person?
Yes. Honda Motorrad Zürich keeps the entire Honda range in stock. In the showroom, you sit on different motorcycles and scooters, compare riding position and equipment and have the differences explained to you before arranging a test ride.
What do I need for a test ride?
A valid driving licence or learner’s licence for the model’s category, which you show on site. Honda Motorrad Zürich confirms the appointment; until then, it is not binding. You can rent a helmet, in which case the rule is: balaclava mandatory – bring your own or CHF 25.–.
What is the difference between a demonstrator and a used motorcycle?
A demonstrator is one of the dealer’s demo motorcycles, newly registered and ridden only a little. A used motorcycle has had a previous owner; it is technically inspected before sale and comes with a warranty whose scope depends on age and mileage. On request, the dealer takes care of the MFK.
Can I trade in my current motorcycle?
Yes. Honda Motorrad Zürich accepts motorcycles of any brand in part exchange and values them on site. You can use the value as a down payment for leasing or financing. If you only want to sell, the dealer will also buy your motorcycle without you purchasing a new one.
Are there Honda off-road models here as well?
The Honda motorcycle shop shows the road models. Motocross bikes from the CRF50F to the CRF450R and the enduro models CRF250RX and CRF450RX are looked after by the MX-Academy’s Honda Motoshop in Schlatt TG, where you can also ride a rental bike on a motocross course.
