Inspection and annual service to manufacturer specifications

What is done during a service depends on Honda’s specifications for your model. Typical jobs include changing oil and filters, checking the brakes, looking after the chain, replacing fluids and testing the battery.

The work is carried out with genuine spare parts, the manufacturer’s diagnostic equipment and staff trained by Honda. In the weeks before the riding season begins, it is advisable to book your service early.

Repairs, fault diagnosis and accident damage

If something is not running smoothly, the workshop first reads out the fault memory and narrows down the cause. Clutch, suspension and electrics are repaired, and the engine is overhauled if necessary. The workshop also repairs damage after an accident.

Should the mechanics find additional defects, the workshop contacts you first, because extra work is done only once you have agreed to it. If you wish, you will get a quote before any work begins.

MFK, tyres and modifications entered in the vehicle papers

For the MFK, the workshop prepares your motorcycle, presents it for inspection and carries out the emissions test. If parts have been modified, it also takes care of having the modifications entered. When tyres are changed, fitting, balancing and a check of the tyre pressure go hand in hand.

Electronics, exhaust systems and add-on parts are installed by the workshop too, genuine accessories for Honda motorcycles and scooters as well as motorcycle accessories that you bring along. As non-genuine parts can put the warranty at risk, the workshop points this out before fitting.

Care, winter storage and other brands

Beyond the technical side, appearance matters too: the workshop cleans your motorcycle, cares for the paintwork and protects it against corrosion. If you do not ride in winter, you can leave your motorcycle with Honda Motorrad Zürich for winter storage.

Between two appointments, you can do quite a lot yourself: keep the chain clean and lubricated, check the tyre pressure and take a look at the brakes and lights before setting off. If you notice anything, it is wise to have it checked straight away.

Requests are made via the online form of Honda Motorrad Zürich. In it, you give details of your vehicle, the work required, the date you would like and your contact information. Your booking is firm as soon as the workshop confirms the appointment.
